Nature photography takes center stage once again in the province of Cádiz. Next Saturday, September 5th, Chiclana will host the 6th Nature Photography Conference , organized by the Cádiz Association of Nature Photographers (AGAFONA) in collaboration with the local council. The event, which has become a must-attend on the Andalusian calendar, will bring together amateur and professional photographers at the Wine and Salt Interpretation Center.
The municipal delegate for Sustainable Tourism, Manuela Pérez, and the president of AGAFONA, Pablo Barrena, presented this edition, which is being held in Chiclana for the first time. The event will feature José Benito Ruiz, one of Spain's most influential nature photographers and current president of the Spanish Association of Nature Photographers (AEFONA). Ruiz will lead a comprehensive training program lasting approximately eight hours.
A top-notch program with José Benito Ruiz

The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. with participant registration and accreditation. Following the official opening, the training sessions will commence. José Benito Ruiz will offer five masterclasses covering the main specializations of the genre : landscape photography, technique and composition, night photography, wildlife photography, and macro photography . In this way, attendees will be able to delve deeper into different approaches under the guidance of a leading national expert.
Before the lunch break, the AGAFONA League awards ceremony will take place, recognizing the best work of its members over the past year. In the afternoon, activities will resume with the final two masterclasses , completing an intensive day dedicated entirely to nature photography. According to Pablo Barrena, "It will be a full Saturday, covering all aspects of nature photography."
Prices, places and registration

The Wine and Salt Interpretation Center has a maximum capacity of 100 people, and places will be assigned strictly in order of registration. At the time of the presentation, 74 participants had already registered , suggesting that the center will fill up quickly. Attendance is free for AGAFONA members, while other interested parties will be charged a nominal fee of 20 euros.
To register, you must complete the form available on Google Forms. The registration link has been provided through the association's official channels and the Chiclana City Council. The organizers recommend registering soon, as demand is high.
Chiclana, a natural setting

The choice of Chiclana is no coincidence. This town in Cádiz boasts a privileged natural environment, with estuaries, salt flats, and pine forests that offer a multitude of opportunities for nature photography. Manuela Pérez emphasized that "Chiclana is a municipality with great natural potential" and that these events serve to highlight this heritage. She also underscored the commitment of the local government to initiatives that promote respect for the environment.
For his part, Pablo Barrena thanked the City Council for its collaboration and noted that "it is an honor for our association that Chiclana is hosting this event." The president of AGAFONA recalled that the organization has already participated in other activities in the municipality , such as AVINSAL, and is confident that the event will be a success. "We are convinced it will be a success, because 74 people have already registered out of a total of 100 places," he stated.

With a high-level program, limited capacity, and an exceptional natural setting, the 6th AGAFONA Photography and Nature Conference is shaping up to be an unmissable event for enthusiasts of this discipline . The combination of José Benito Ruiz's expertise, AGAFONA's organization, and the support of the Chiclana City Council guarantees a day of learning and camaraderie that, judging by the demand, will once again be a resounding success.
