The typography uses certain accents to attract attention and distinguish a text wherever it will be introduced or presented. It is also difficult for us to think of a new type of fonts that give a twist to what is stipulated, so this new typeface has more reason to be.

Datalagreya is a new free font that will add more meaning to your texts. It is an OpenType font that allows you to add data curves through text. The goal in mind of this source is for small screens, such as wearables or connected devices.

Let's say that in that small screen space where you have to display charts, annual reports and meteorological data, Datalagreya is the perfect typeface to merge in a very elegant way with all those graphs and lines that rise and fall before our eyes.

Datalegreya

It is designed on Alegreya Sans SC Thin, a open source font designed by Juan Pablo Del Perla, and allows you to create sophisticated and elegant effects without the need to add additional software.

It will display the data as a flat line, or you can fill it with a simple dot pattern or gradients. If you already want to add more context to the data you present, you can use other types of more complex graphs, just as you can include legends or other information for both the X and Y axis of a small graph.

The secret of this font is that every time after each letter of the text that you want to use in Datalegreya, you will have to enter a special character followed by a number, so that the source is automatically able to create a data curve with those numbers. It may be a bit pricey at first, but it has a lot of potential.
