Do you know what YouTube Audio Library is? Have you heard of her? If you are one of those who upload videos and do not want your audio to be censored because it has copyright, then you are interested in knowing this tool that we could almost say is hidden.
Find out what it is, where it is and how you can use it. Shall we start?
What is YouTube Audio Library
First of all, you should know what we are referring to by YouTube audio library. Also known as YouTube audio library, It is a tool that makes the platform available to all those who need sounds and music without copyright and for free.
In other words, you are looking at a free bank of sounds and music so you can use them in your videos.
It has a large amount of music and sounds, being able to download them or add them to your video while you are editing it on YouTube. Best of all, you don't have to worry about copyright or demonetization, so you won't make work that you can't publish 100% later.
Where is the YouTube Audio Library
At the beginning we told you that it is hidden. In reality, it is somewhat hidden, and sometimes it is not easy to find it. Therefore, we want to give you specific guidelines so that you can find it and not have to use your browser's search engine to locate it.
In this case, and being on YouTube, you have to go to the YouTube studio (if you don't know how, click on your profile photo and you will see a menu appear. It will show you YouTube Studio). Once there you can see that In the menu on the left you will see a section that is “audio library”.
Once inside you will see that you have a search engine to locate keywords, artists or titles of that music, as well as search by genre, duration, mood...
What will you find in the library
When you enter the YouTube audio library you will find three specific sections:
Music
here you will find all the audio tracks you have available to use. Some will last only a few seconds, but others could last much longer. In fact, the longest of all is "Almost in F- Tranquillity", 32:42.
This section is usually updated every month, since if you order by incorporation date you will see that quite a few were added in May, and the same in previous months. As of the date of this article, you have 799 different audio tracks.
Sound effects
The sound effects are those sound stimuli, of short duration, which you need to represent some special sound (a sneeze, a cough...).
Here we must warn you that it is not a section that is updated. In fact, it hasn't done so since July 2014, we don't know if because there are no more sounds to add or for some other reason.
You will have, to give you examples, children's laughter, musical instruments, driving vehicles (as well as horns), sounds of doors, sports, impacts, tools... Thus up to a total of 244 different sounds throughout the pages (only you They will appear 30 at a time unless you change it).
Featured music
Finally, in this part of the screen, those tracks that you have previously marked as favorites will appear. And how is that done? Pointing to the star icon that appears in the music part (if you notice, you have the play button, and then a star).
Once you understand these sections, Depending on what you are looking for, you will go to the first or second (music or sounds). You can also use the search engine (just below the previous menu) to locate tracks or sounds related to what you play.
You can test the sounds before downloading them to see if it was really what you were looking for or not. And once you have found one that you like, you will see that, when you play it, a counter appears at the bottom of the browser (as the music plays) and, on the right, the option to "download", save to highlight or see the type license that that track has.
Where can this music be used?
You basically already know how the YouTube audio library works. But you may be wondering if this music can be used outside of YouTube. The truth is that there is no limitation to it. That is to say, we have not seen that you cannot download that music and use it to create a video to upload, for example, to social networks.
What is recommended, although in some cases it is not necessary, authorship is attributed to the person who made the audio. This way, you can use it, but in the process you would be helping to give publicity to that person. And it is not something that costs you much because it does not imply that YouTube or any other platform is going to censor your audio (or that you cannot monetize that video).
How many music files can I download and use at once?
Another question that will arise with audio or sound files is whether you can download as many as you want. The answer is yes; There is no limitation by time or by day to download as many as you want.
Regarding use, the same thing happens. If you have a video where you want to change the music several times, or you want to add some sound effects at the same time as the music, you can easily do that too.
Also, you can incorporate them from the YouTube studio or you can edit the video outside With any editing program, attach the music and, when uploading it, it will be detected that it is royalty-free (and it should not cause any problems).
As you can see, the YouTube audio library can be a good source for your sounds or music without fear that the sound will be removed later because it does not meet what you need (or worse, that you will not be able to monetize the video even though it is done with that goal (and be successful)).
